Last weekend Alexis and I celebrated our first anniversary! Yay!

We extended the weekend by taking Friday and Monday off and went on a whitewater rafting trip up in Maine. The outfit that we went with is Crab Apple Whitewater (www.crabapplewhitewater.com) and they were superb! We stayed there too, in one of their luxury suites which had an in-room 2-person jacuzzi. After a gut-wrenching three-hour ride on high-water rapids, let me tell ya, that jacuzzi was therapeutic!!

On our anniversary, Saturday June 10, we went on the dreaded Dead River which happened to have a high-water dam release that day. The water was HIGH, and it was a BLAST! (we will have pictures of us on the raft from the rafting company soon)

We relaxed for the rest of the weekend, hiking, playing cards, reading, and just enjoying each other’s presence and the peace and rest of God. On Monday we took the scenic route back home and arrived relaxed and refreshed

We feel incredibly blessed to have had such a good first year of marriage (and I feel undeservingly blessed to have such a wonderful wife!!) and we are prayerfully and eagerly looking forward to what God is doing this coming year! Yaaaaaaaaaaahh!
